About EAG

Business Performance Is Ultimately Human Performance

Organisations are systems, but those systems are designed, operated, interpreted, and led by people. Any improvement that ignores that fact tends not to survive contact with the business.

Philosophy

Commercially pragmatic, not theoretical

EAG brings together commercial thinking with an advanced understanding of human behaviour, leadership, communication, learning, and organisational performance.

The value of a model is what it allows a leadership team to see, and what they then do differently. Frameworks are used to sharpen decisions, not to decorate reports.

Our Approach

Understand the business as it actually is, diagnose where performance is being lost, prioritise where intervention will pay, build the capability required, and stay involved while it is implemented.

Proprietary Intellectual Property

The Effectivity Model™ is EAG's proprietary framework for understanding, diagnosing, and improving organisational performance. It provides a structured way to examine the interconnected capabilities that influence an organisation's ability to convert purpose and strategy into sustained performance.

Working Relationship

EAG works alongside owners, executives, and leadership teams. Direct, considered, and willing to say what a business may not want to hear, without theatre.

Founder & Principal

Duane Alley

Duane Alley has spent more than three decades working at the intersection of business performance, leadership, organisational capability, and human behaviour.

Duane Alley, Founder and Principal of Effectivity Advisory Group

He moved into management at 17 and built his early career across frontline and multi-site operations, including responsibility for networks of up to 50 retail locations and later state operations across Queensland and the Northern Territory. That work spanned commercial performance, people leadership, customer experience, franchise operations, compliance, recruitment, succession planning, and new-site development.

During the early growth of a major Australian franchise business, Duane created and wrote its operational manual and associated training program, then led the implementation of both across the network. He also developed the store audit framework used to establish consistent operational benchmarks. Building organisational systems and capability during periods of growth continues to shape how he approaches advisory work today.

His career then expanded into international training, leadership development, communication, sales performance, organisational capability, and executive coaching and advisory. He has led training and coaching functions, developed trainers and coaches, created substantial multi-day development programs, and held senior executive positions including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and Managing Director.

Across that career he has delivered training and coaching in 24 countries across five continents, accumulating more than 30,000 hours of training and coaching with owners, executives, leaders, managers, and Teams across a wide range of commercial environments.

Today that breadth of practical experience informs his work through Effectivity Advisory Group and the development of The Effectivity Model™, grounded in a simple principle: sustainable improvement rarely comes from treating one issue in isolation. It comes from understanding the organisation as a system, identifying what is actually constraining performance, and developing the capability required to create measurable improvement.
